According to the Jerusalem Post, the "gutter" or "water shaft" ("tsinor" in the article) mentioned in 2 Samuel 5:6-8 has been found by archaeologists. Dr. Eilat Mazar, who is leading the dig, said that oil lamps from the end of the First Temple period were found in the tunnel. Mazar has also previously found "remnants of a wall from the prophet Nehemiah in the area, and two seal impressions belonging to ministers of King Zedekiah".

A small group went to see the Ben Stein movie "Expelled: No Intelligence Allowed" recently.

Something that spoke volumes to me about this film is what one man said as the closing credits were rolling:

"There are only a dozen of us here; there should have been a thousand."

The tomb of King Herod, who reigned Judea from 37 to 4 BC, has been discovered, fifteen kilometers (9 miles) south of Jerusalem. This king is famous for remodeling the Second Temple into a world-famous structure, for building the fortress Masada (which was the final defensive position for the Jews who had rebelled against the rule of the Roman Empire, which led to the Romans' destruction of both the Second Temple and Masada), and for the slaughter of young baby boys in the area of Bethlehem after the King of the Jews (Jesus) had been reported to have been born there.

More information on the discovery of this tomb can be found at ScienceDaily.
